Join our dedicated team at U.S. Renal Care as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) where you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of patients with renal failure. As part of a supportive cross-functional team, you'll work closely with a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN) to provide exceptional care and assistance during dialysis treatments.
Your Role Includes :
- Patient Care : Directly engage with patients to deliver safe, comfortable, and efficient dialysis treatment. Responsibilities encompass gathering patient stats before and after treatment, initiating the treatment process, monitoring patients, terminating treatment, and collecting blood samples as required.
- Technical Responsibilities : Ensure the highest quality of care by preparing machines for hemodialysis, cleaning and disinfecting equipment post-treatment, conducting machine safety checks, and meticulously logging results to meet quality control standards.
- Safety and Compliance : Use appropriate safety measures, including personal protective equipment, while adhering to all company policies and state / federal regulations. Participate actively in staff meetings and ongoing education programs.
This position is based at our South Georgia Clinic, located at 3564 N Crossing Cir, Valdosta, GA 31602.
What We Seek :
High school diploma or equivalent.A strong desire to work in healthcare and provide compassionate patient care.Prior healthcare experience such as dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is advantageous.Comfort with mixing acids and bicarbonate according to established protocols.Able to distinguish all primary colors.Additional Requirements :
Successful completion of the U.S. Renal Care training program within 8 weeks of hire, demonstrating competency in hemodialysis practices.CPR certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire or as mandated by state regulations.Patient Care Technician certification through a recognized state or national program is required within 18 months of hire and must be maintained in good standing.Are You Ready to Make an Impact?
