Job Summary :
The Lead Medical Assistant provides direct quality care and treatment to patients requiring Cardiovascular related services while promoting patient’s physical comfort and providing emotional support to the patient and family while providing oversight of other clinic staff in collaboration with the Supervisor.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with supervisors on daily schedules, ensuring patient appointments are organized and flowing efficiently in the back office and that providers remain on time.
- Work with other staff and supervisors to ensure proper clinic coverage.
- Lead by example by actively contributing to team efforts, such as assisting with patient rooming, ensuring timely rest and meal breaks with appropriate coverage, and demonstrating high standards for patient service and productivity.
- Provide general oversight of back office staff, ensuring performance meets job standards; collaborate with the supervisor if performance issues arise.
- Collaborate with Supervisor to train and mentor new employees; support staff development and cross-training opportunities.
- Organize, stock, and order medical supplies.
- Ensure exam rooms, treatment areas, and clinic facilities are maintained, clean, safe, and well-stocked.
- Answer and respond to calls professionally; take accurate messages, route them to the appropriate person, and document all patient-related telephone contacts per policy / procedure, including calls from symptomatic patients.
- Facilitate communication and teamwork among providers, staff, patients, and service partners through timely information sharing.
- Review all medical record charts before patient appointments to ensure pertinent records are included and accurately documented.
- Enhanced knowledge of vascular, pediatric or EP cardiology. monitor patient status during specialized procedures and record data before, during, and after the procedure.
- Administer, nursing diagnostic test as orders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Certified Medical Assistant (strongly preferred) or equivalent work experienceBilingual skills (preferred)3–4 years of related experience (preferred)Experience with NextGen or similar electronic health record (EHR) systemsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and training abilitiesEffective team leadership and motivational skillsOutstanding organizational, planning, and time management skillsProficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general PC useKnowledge of medical terminologyPhysical Requirements :
Must be able to work an 8-hour day with prolonged periods of sitting.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.Add the phone requirementOccasional local travel may be required.Advance knowledge in Medical and Clinical settings with Patient CareDisclaimer :

Pay Range : $26 per hr - $29.00 per hr (DOE)
