Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering individualized nursing care through a comprehensive approach that includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes planning, implementation, and evaluation. Collaboration with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams, including healthcare providers, is essential for planning, implementing, and assessing care. You will utilize your full scope of nursing expertise and apply age and population-specific standards relevant to your clinical setting.
Your responsibilities encompass all aspects of care, including preventive measures, health maintenance, accurate diagnosis, and effective treatment. You will be in charge of coordinating resident care, conducting assessments, providing education, and executing various nursing interventions.
In addition, you may act as a charge nurse, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel while ensuring that all care is safe, reliable, and meets established standards. Your practice will comply with the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules specific to your state, and you'll uphold the standards and ethics of the nursing profession as outlined by the American Nurses Association.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program, with a preference for those from programs recognized by CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA. A Bachelor's Degree in nursing is preferred.
You must hold an unencumbered RN license in the State Board of Nursing where you will practice and / or possess multistate licensure if applicable. Additionally, maintaining department-specific competencies and certifications is required.
