American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least one year of experience and acute care hospital expertise to join a dynamic day shift team.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in an acute care hospital setting on the OT Acute Care unitDay shifts are scheduled for 5x8 hours, 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PMTraveler may be required to float between units and to nearby affiliate hospitalsPatient care focuses on acute and chronic disorders, functional activities, and assessmentsEpic EMR is used and experience is requiredSolid color scrubs required; royal blue should be avoidedFree parking is available for staffResponsibilities include assessments, implementing functional activities, billing, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention and safety standardsMust meet National Patient Safety Goals and core measures as preferred by the facilityFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyUp to 16 hours of orientation and non-billable modules are required prior to startStaff are required to work at least 2 out of 3 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New YearReturning employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot be within 50 miles of the facilityAll requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed and approved prior to the assignmentTravelers may be expected to float within the hospital and to nearby affiliated facilities\n \n Requirements\n
Current, valid CA Occupational Therapist license requiredMinimum of 1 year recent acute care experience requiredCertification in Manual Therapy and Hand Therapy requiredExperience in infection prevention, fall / risk assessment, and billing requiredMust complete Epic charting modulesReferences from at least 2 supervisory sources covering one year in a similar settingCandidates should be willing to float as neededApplicants within a 50-mile radius will be considered as localsLicense required if applicable\n Benefits\n
