We are looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our busy repair shop. As an Auto Mechanic, you will assist our customers by diagnosing and repairing issues with vehicles performance and function.
As an Auto Mechanic, you must have an in-depth understanding of all vehicle systems and components. You will also be responsible for maintaining and repairing shop equipment, writing service estimates, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
The ideal candidate is skilled in communicating with customers, able to explain vehicle issues clearly and concisely and provide valuable advice.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair vehicles coming into the shopCarry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and basic repairsConfidently Replace Engines, Transmissions, Timing Chains / Belts, And Differential Assembly'sConduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, and electrical systemsCreate repair estimates and timelines and convey information to customers and supervisor in an easy-to-understand mannerMaintain accurate repair shop records and paperworkEnsure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat businessQualifications
High school diploma or GED is requiredAutomotive Service Excellence / ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers / SAE certification are a plusStrong customer service and communication skills are requiredWelding is a plus (Exhaust Work)Requirements
VALID DRIVERS LICENSEMUST HAVE OWN TOOLS AND TOOL BOXRELIABLE TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM WORK
