Position Overview

The Electrician is responsible for supporting the electrical projects that impact our facilities, as well as providing machine maintenance that involves electrical adjustments.

Position Responsibilities

• Promote safety as the number one priority of all employees.
• Provide support on scheduled electrical projects and daily work to achieve maintenance goals.
• Recommend improvements to equipment and processes as necessary.
• Monitor equipment usage and make recommendations to reduce spending.
• Develop and maintain an expectation of quality as an essential element of project success.
• Evaluate and compare various control and power alternatives and help Maintenance Supervisor to select the best solution using technical, economic, reliability, and maintainability criteria.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in high-noise areas and wear appropriate hearing protection devices. Ability to operate a motor vehicle while maintaining focus on safe driving and avoiding all distractions when behind the wheel, especially cell phones. Manual material handling involving the need to grip, squeeze, and pinch. Ability to work in an elevated ambient temperature environment. Ability to utilize stepladders, extension, and fixed ladders. The position requires the ability to regularly stand. Ability to work at elevated work heights, mezzanines, roofs, decks, and / or mobile working platforms. The position requires good close vision and depth perception skills. Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and occasionally lift / push / pull / carry up to 50
