Permanent Nurse Practitioner – Heart Failure ICU (FT Nights) - Houston, TX
Compensation : $135,000–$147,000 base + 8% geographical differential + bonus + relocation assistance
Are you ready to take your critical care expertise to the next level? We’re looking for an Adult-Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) to join a leading academic medical center’s Heart Failure ICU team in the Texas Medical Center.
This role offers the chance to work alongside top specialists and care for some of the most complex cardiac patients in the country—while advancing your own professional growth.
What You’ll Do :
- Deliver comprehensive patient care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management for critically ill cardiac patients.
- Care for a highly specialized population including VV / VA ECMO, Mechanical Circulatory Support, LVADs, Post-op Cardiac Surgery, and Heart & Lung Transplants.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a Level I Trauma Center environment.
- Work 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a) , rotating weekends and holidays (no call).
What You’ll Bring :
AGACNP certification required.Current Texas RN / NP license .BLS & ACLS certified.2–3 years of Critical Care experience (RN or NP) required; experience with Cardiology, Heart Failure, ECMO, LVAD, or Transplants strongly preferred.New NPs must have 2–3 years of RN experience in critical care or cardiac ICU.Why This Role :
