Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient rehab position requiring Cerner experience and willingness to float between acute and rehab settings.

Responsibilities

  • Inpatient rehabilitation and acute care hospital units
  • Day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM
  • Weekend work may be required if flexing off during the week
  • Candidates will float between acute and rehab units and may float to affiliated hospitals based on volume
  • Cerner EMR experience required
  • Grey scrubs required
  • Duties include evaluation and treatment of patients in both rehabilitation and acute care settings
  • No on-call or holiday requirements, except for potential holiday coverage if requesting time off during holidays
  • Return staff must have a minimum 3-year gap before consideration
  • Professional conduct is required at all times; violations may result in immediate contract termination
  • Pre-start modules are required and self-reported
  • A maximum of 10 days off may be requested and must be declared at submission
  • Team-oriented work environment with support for traveler orientation

    • Requirements

  • Current Occupational Therapist license required if applicable; license may be pending or candidate must participate in the licensure project
  • Minimum 1-2 years of Occupational Therapy experience preferred; first-time travelers will be considered
  • Cerner charting experience required
  • Ability to complete up to 8 hours of pre-start training modules within 1 week of signing
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
