Job Title : Network Support Engineer

Work Model : Hybrid

Work Model Details : 3 days onsite and 2 days remote

Shift : 12 Hour Shift either Sunday Wednesday or Wednesday Saturday

Responsibilities

  • Duties include providing support to perimeter security infrastructure, which includes firewall, proxy and remote access systems.
  • Investigation, documentation and resolution of outages to critical business systems that may be caused by firewall, proxy, or remote access systems.
  • Escalation of issues to, and tracking of progress in conjunction with internal engineering teams, vendors, or other technical resource teams.
  • Working incidents or projects beyond the scope of the level 2 team which may include scheduling multiple changes, software upgrades, or configuration activities to resolve.

Qualifications

  • Must Have Skills / Attributes : BGP, Cisco, Firewall, Infrastructure, Proxy, Security
  • Experience Desired : Providing support for perimeter security infrastructure, including firewalls, proxies, and remote access (5+ yrs); Check Point Gaia, Bluecoat Proxy, Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Zscaler ZIA, or Cisco ASA with the A (5+ yrs); Network routing with BGP; Linux / Unix experience is preferred (5+ yrs)
  • Preferred Education : Bachelor\'s Degree
  • Education Level Required : Bachelor\'s Degree preferred
  • Required Skills, Experience, & Abilities : Strong troubleshooting and communication skills; tcpdump / pcap / wireshark experience; Checkpoint Gaia, Bluecoat Proxy, Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Zscaler ZIA, Cisco ASA with AnyConnect client; strong analytical and quantitative capability with attention to detail; ability to work in a demanding environment; high degree of flexibility and ability to multi-task; strong verbal and written skills
  • Nice to have skills : Specialists analyze customer requirements to uphold standards, policies, and guidelines from information security; support routine compliance activities; support technology improvements and infrastructure upgrades; engineering support
  • Relevant certifications preferred : Checkpoint and Palo Alto Networks firewalls
