We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee daily operations for our heavy highway construction projects . This role is critical in ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations for multiple heavy highway construction projects and crews.
- Ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, quality standards, and safety regulations .
- Collaborate with project teams to allocate resources efficiently and align on project strategy.
- Review and analyze project documents to ensure compliance with requirements and contracts.
- Partner with the safety team to implement and manage site-specific safety programs.
- Monitor ongoing projects to ensure work is completed per specifications and schedules.
- Support Project Managers with project scheduling, reporting, and risk management.
- Maintain strong relationships with contractors, clients, and stakeholders.
- Mentor and train employees in project management and estimating.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management (Master's a plus).15+ years of construction industry experience with at least 10 years in project management .Proven experience in heavy highway construction (DOT projects, paving, drainage, site work, concrete).Strong leadership skills with a stable work history.Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to read and interpret specifications and anticipate project challenges.Comfortable working 85% in-office / 15% in-field .Must be okay with dogs (we have them in the office!).Compensation & Benefits :
