Job Opportunity : Psychiatrist - Muskegon, MI

Join a dynamic Psychiatry team at a leading inpatient psychiatric unit in Muskegon, Michigan. Job Responsibilities :

  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric care for adult inpatients in a dedicated behavioral health unit.
  • Perform initial psychiatric evaluations, diagnose mental health conditions, and manage treatment plans.
  • Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications in coordination with the care team.
  • Collaborate daily with a multidisciplinary team including APPs, RNs, social workers, and case managers.
  • Participate in daily clinical rounds and contribute to patient-centered care discussions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system.
  • Work a consistent Monday Friday schedule from 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM, with built-in flexibility.
  • Share in weekend call coverage on a rotating 1 : 4 schedule.
  • Option to pick up additional shifts for extra compensation if desired.
  • Engage in teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Pursue additional interests such as research, outpatient care, or leadership roles.

Qualifications :

  • Board Eligible (to become Board Certified within two years of eligibility) or Board Certified.
  • Open to new graduates and experienced providers.
  • Valid Michigan medical license.
  • DEA license.
  • BLS Certification.
  • License and Certification Requirements :

  • Valid Michigan license at the time of employment.
  • DEA license is required.
  • BLS Certification must be maintained.
  • Must become Board Certified within two years if Board Eligible.
