Job Description : Individual will serve as a Q.E.D. Systems Naval CAD Drafter assigned to a Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, or Electronic Design Department supporting the development of Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs) in support of U.S. Navy ship modernization requirements. The Q.E.D. Systems Naval CAD Drafter will directly report to a Q.E.D. Systems Naval Engineering Supervisor. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements / skill sets : Must have at least 2-years of experience in drafting and design using AUTOCAD. Must be able to develop 2D ship installation drawings (SIDs) for shipboard mechanical, or structural, or electrical, or electronic systems and equipment. Must be able to interpret engineering drawings, design sketches, systems diagrams, specifications, and standards. Experience must include ship checks, and the design and working plan development for construction, conversion, modernization, and / or alteration of U.S. Naval Ships. LCS and other Surface Combatant experience is preferred.

Education Requirements : High School Diploma with at least 2-years formal education in a technical / vocational school, apprentice school, or equivalent and a Certificate in Drafting and Design / AUTOCAD.

Security Clearance / Naval Facility Access : U.S. citizenship required. Must be able to meet and maintain eligibility for U.S. Secret Clearance and / or be able to access military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards.
