You will have :
Authority over P&L, hiring, pricing, workflow, and vendor relationships Support from Homeboy’s central HR and finance teams Opportunities for professional development and advancement as the shop scales into multiple locations Responsibilities : Run all shop operations, from facility upkeep and parts ordering to hands-on maintenance, as the flow of business requires Oversee financial performance of the shop, including labor efficiency, parts margins, ARO, and overall profitability Build and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent quality and scalability Develop and maintain relationships with fleet clients, referral partners, and community stakeholders Schedule appointments and generate estimates in person and over the phone Effectively communicate to the customer the timeline of repair and maintenance Guide the entire customer service experience, from the service drive until the vehicle is turned back to the customer Create a culture of excellence, honesty, and teamwork Document repair and maintenance changes on repair order in the approved manner Resolve customer complaints and questions Personally conduct maintenance Work with fleet managers to create and execute maintenance plans for corporate accounts Establish and maintain strong positive working relationships and loyalty with customers to encourage repeat and referral business, cultivating long-term clientele Ensures that all required documentation is completed and in compliance with regulations and standards Train new mechanics from Homeboy Industries Stay current with the latest technologies and repair techniques Ability to work well in a process-driven environment Provide quarterly updates to a board of advisors Qualifications : 10+ Years of experience as an automotive technician / service writer required Track record of improving shop efficiency, growing revenue, or turning around underperforming operations ASE Certifications preferred Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff Must bring your own tools Bilingual a PLUS!Compensation :
