This position is responsible for inventory control in the maintenance shop, as well as receiving and storing parts, maintenance supplies, and miscellaneous items, all while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Establish operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
• Inspect the physical condition of warehouse inventory and equipment.
• Prepare materials for work orders and requisitions for equipment replacement.
• Ensure coordination of warehouse activities with other functions such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing.
• Salvage damaged or used material and / or manage its disposal.
• Check all hand tools weekly, report problems, and replace them as needed.
• Inspect and replace issued equipment (including hand and portable power tools) as needed. Ensure all flammables are returned for proper storage and / or disposal.
• Safely operate forklifts or other equipment utilized in the warehouse area or for parts and / or supply delivery.
• Participate in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
