We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Travel Operating Room Lead RN to oversee surgical nursing operations across diverse healthcare facilities. This leadership role combines clinical excellence with operational oversight, making it ideal for seasoned OR nurses who thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about mentoring teams while exploring new locations.

🧰 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily OR nursing operations, ensuring safe and efficient patient care
  • Supervise and mentor OR nursing staff, providing guidance and support during procedures
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to optimize workflow and outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and infection control protocols
  • Manage OR schedules, staffing assignments, and case preparation
  • Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and hospital leadership
  • Assist in onboarding and training of new OR personnel at each assignment site
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
  • Adapt quickly to new environments and integrate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams

    • 📋 Qualifications

  • Education : Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • Licensure : Active RN license in good standing; multi-state licensure or compact license preferred
  • Certification : BLS and ACLS required; CNOR certification strongly preferred
  • Experience : Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or charge role
  • Skills :
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in perioperative nursing practices and surgical protocols
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead under pressure
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and surgical scheduling tools
