Travel Nurse Job Details Location : Boston, MA 02115 (Longwood Medical Area) Unit : Pediatric Cardiac ICU (CVPICU / CICU) Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Contract Start Date : December 14, 2025 End Date : March 15, 2026 Duration : 13 weeks Shifts : 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours / week), rotating days (7 : 00am–7 : 00pm) and nights (7 : 00pm–7 : 00am), or straight nights available Weekend Requirement : 3 of 6 weekends per contract Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Estimated Weekly Salary : $2470–$2540 Floating : Required to MSICU, MICU, NICU, ACCU as needed Scrub Color : Any solid color (OR-provided) Charting : Cerner (transitioning to EPIC) Parking : Discounted off-site with shuttle; free for night shift Registered Nurse Qualifications Active, permanent RN license (Massachusetts preferred for Boston nursing jobs) Minimum 1 year of recent pediatric critical care experience (PICU, CVICU, or CICU) Travel nursing experience required Certifications : BLS and PALS (current and valid) Experience with congenital heart disease (CHD) pre- and post-op care Ability to float to related critical care units as needed COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical / religious exemptions considered) Two professional references from two of the last three employers (different facilities) Pediatric Cardiac ICU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, family-centered care to pediatric cardiac ICU patients, including those with congenital heart disease Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress using Cerner and EPIC EMR systems Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans Provide pre- and post-operative care for pediatric cardiac surgery patients Float to other critical care units as needed (MSICU, MICU, NICU, ACCU) Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and healthcare safety standards Experience the excitement of Boston nursing jobs while making a difference in pediatric critical care.
