Emergency Room RN Job Details Location : Pikeville, KY 41501 (Kentucky healthcare jobs) Assignment Type : Travel Nursing - Emergency Room Unit : Emergency Room (ER) Start Date : November 17, 2025 End Date : February 14, 2026 Duration : 13-week contract Shift : 11 : 00 AM - 11 : 00 PM Weekly Estimated Pay : $1840 - $1970 per week Hours per Week : Standard schedule is 48 hours per week, typically comprised of six 8-hour shifts, with 40 hours guaranteed Shift Duration : 8 Hour Days ER RN Qualifications & Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Kentucky or compact state) Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience (5 years preferred) Current certifications : CPR, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, EKG, TNCC, PALS Previous travel nursing experience required Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care in emergent and non-emergent situations for all age groups Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing re-assessments Manage airway, pain, cardiac, and invasive monitoring for ER patients Administer specialized IV drips, titration, sedation, and assist with emergency procedures (e.g., pacemakers, cardioversion, defibrillation, chest tubes, wound repair) Operate advanced emergency equipment and manage Code Blue situations Administer medications, IV therapy, and infusion therapy as required Interpret ECG strips and provide patient discharge education Accurately document patient histories, conditions, treatments, and responses in the electronic medical record Supervise and precept other healthcare staff, supporting clinical team development Participate in performance improvement activities and maintain ongoing professional development Ensure infection control, patient safety, and strict adherence to facility policies and procedures Join our healthcare team in Pikeville, Kentucky, and make a difference as a travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse.
