Are you looking for a chance to join a close-knit, compassionate team of dedicated legal professionals?  With offices in Elizabeth and East Brunswick, we are a top-rated, fast-growing personal injury law firm based in New Jersey, looking for an Intake Specialist to take ownership of the front-end client experience. This key role will serve as the first point of contact for potential clients, provide essential administrative support, and help ensure smooth and timely communication throughout the intake process. This position requires full-time presence at one of our offices.

Compensation : $20 - $25 hourly

Responsibilities :

  • Be the first point of contact for potential clients, conducting empathetic, insightful conversations to assess case viability and ensure they feel heard and supported
  • Evaluate incoming inquiries and calls to determine case fit and guide clients through the intake process
  • Gather essential information, complete intake forms, and schedule consultations for attorneys
  • Manage attorney calendars and consultation schedules to support caseload growth
  • Maintain organized, accurate records and perform data entry in our case and lead management systems
  • Organize intake paperwork and help onboard new clients efficiently
  • Support internal collaboration and referral processes to streamline case flow
  • Maintain strict practice and client confidentiality
  • Contribute to prospective client growth by collaborating with the marketing team on awareness initiatives and partnership opportunities

  • Technological confidence and the ability to navigate multiple computer programs, databases, and case management systems with ease
  • Excellent communication skills—clear, confident, and professional in both writing and phone interactions, with a warm and welcoming client presence
  • Strong interpersonal awareness and natural empathy—someone who listens with compassion and puts clients at ease, especially in emotionally sensitive situations
  • The ability to build rapport and maintain productive relationships with a wide range of personalities and authority levels
  • A customer-service orientation grounded in a genuine passion for helping others and delivering an experience that turns clients into loyal advocates
  • Experience with legal or intake processes—or transferable skills from a fast-paced, high-touch customer service environment
