A company is looking for a Financial Clearance Specialist Remote.
Key Responsibilities
Initiates contact with insurance companies to obtain eligibility and gather patient billing information
Accurately estimates patient financial liability and processes patient payments
Ensures pre-certification authorization is in place prior to service and refers patients to Financial Counselors as needed
Required Qualifications
Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D., business concentration preferred
Four plus years of experience in a business office setting, preferably in hospital revenue cycle
Prior experience in a healthcare environment required
Associate degree or higher preferred
Working knowledge of personal computers and business office applications preferred
