Job Details
This role is responsible for leading a consulting portfolio in the specialty, ambulatory and outpatient health system space, delivering on large client engagements, leading a team of remote associates, supporting the development and enhancement of services within the portfolio, managing revenue and gross profit within their assigned projects, and working with key business partners on all aspects of the portfolio. The Managing director will be a recognized expert in their portfolio and periodically present at conferences and publish nationally within their discipline.
Location : This position is fully remote with routine travel but should be based in the pacific or mountain time zones.
Responsibilities :
Build trusting relationships with clients and key business partners.
Structures and leads client meetings to resolve issues, address risks and review deliverables.
Demonstrates subject matter mastery of solution portfolios.
Support the development and enhancement of the service offerings in the portfolio
Lead large consulting engagements, ensuring quality, profitability and timely delivery of outputs.
Manages revenue and gross profit within their portfolio. Responsible for financial reporting both internally and to clients.
Contributes to publications and leads speaking engagements that build Cencora market imminence; develops and submits client case studies and references based on successful engagements.
Plans cost-effective operations and market development activities. Works with senior leaders and marketing partners to support development of collateral and other materials to promote their portfolio where appropriate
Documents and communicates associate performance feedback; mentors staff.
Identifies and sells add-on work within existing client and help manage key aspects of the overall consulting practice.
Develops and presents executive quality presentations and reports
Develops innovative methods, approaches and tools.
Performs related duties as assigned
Educational :
Bachelors degree required, advanced degree highly preferred, such as MBA, MHA, MS, PharmD, RN,
3-5 years of progressive leadership experience
Strong understanding of the strategic execution in a variety of pharmacy areas including specialty, retail, ambulatory, infusion, cell and gene therapies and patient access and affordability programs within health systems
Health system-based specialty / retail pharmacy experience
The following are not required but are a "plus" for candidates
Health system infusion pharmacy experience
Product management training and / or experience
MBA or advanced business degree
Lean six-sigma or similar process improvement certification
Located near a major airport and ability to travel up to 50 percent.
Skills and Knowledge :
Polished communication skills, capable of effectively interfacing with high level leadership within the company and client health systems
Highly effective at team management and creating an engaged work environment
Ability to execute with excellence and drive accountability in a fully remote team
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Functions as a self-starter and capable of independent work
Ability to coordinate work across multiple business units / entities (i.e. pharmacy, clinic, payers, central support, health-system leadership, internal teams)
Exhibits strong technical proficiency including the ability to build and manage reporting Excel and business intelligence tools
Experience working with electronic medical records and retail pharmacy systems
Strong understanding of the following :
Industry trends and technological advancements
Pharmacy finances, revenue cycle and profit and loss statements
Outpatient / specialty pharmacy purchasing and class of trade optimization
340B program principles
Navigation within electronic medical records and the chart review process
Pertinent payer, manufacturer, regulatory and legislative developments
Contracting strategy and negotiation
Applicable regulatory, compliance and privacy standards
