Job Summary
This role is based at the Green Bay Support Office. The Training & Execution Specialist Deli and Bakery supports in-store success by driving consistent training and execution across deli, bakery, and other fresh departments. This role requires strong leadership, training, and communication skills to guide store teams in delivering excellence in production planning and related fresh programs, while ensuring standardized practices across all fresh solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coach and train store teams on execution, fresh production planning, forecasting, shrink management, and merchandising across all assigned fresh departments.
- Travel to stores to deliver training, model best practices, communicate clear expectations, and instill accountability with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Collaborate with Sr. Department Directors and Sr. Specialists to recommend and implement new products, programs, and processes that improve CTO and overall department performance.
- Lead store-level implementation of production-related solutions and future program enhancements.
- Establish, communicate, and ensure execution of standards for guest service, product availability, and follow-up on guest feedback.
- Assist with developing planograms and weekly promotional merchandising displays.
- Partner with Sr. Department Director to align department performance and profitability with the annual operating plan.
- Maintain strong knowledge of Festival Foods' fresh programs, processes, and related business practices.
- Collaborate with fresh departments to integrate standards and provide support for department- and store-specific needs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align with company standards and best practices.
- Support team success by assisting with production-related programs as needed.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in an analytical leadership level role in the Grocery / Retail industry. Prefer candidates with a passion for training and fresh foods.Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, analysis, resource allocation, leadership techniques, coordination of people and resources.Proficient in Servant Leadership practices; experience successfully leading a department is preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to monitor and assess performance of self, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities / projects concurrently.Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, through all levels of the business.Ability to embrace and lead change in a fast-paced environment.Professional, positive, and energetic attitude.Physical Demands and Work Environment
The associate must possess the ability to sit or stand at a computer up to 25% of the time and able to travel to across the state of Wisconsin 75% of the time.The position requires the associate to lift up to 60 pounds on an occasional basis (20% of time).Working conditions consist of occasional exposure to extreme temperatures (20% of time).Work Schedule
The Training & Execution Specialist is a full-time position based out of the Green Bay Store Support Office. The work schedule will include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. This position will be directly responsible for the training of some stores and will have oversight of all stores.
