Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Chicago, Illinois. This role requires a skilled and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in corporate accounting, including expense accruals, month-end close processes, and account reconciliations. Responsibilities

Oversee corporate accounting functions, including expense accruals and month-end close activities.

Perform detailed account reconciliations, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations.

Ensure accurate preparation and review of financial statements and reports.

Manage journal entries and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.

Collaborate with the revenue and cost teams to address turnover impacts and maintain financial consistency.

Lead audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Utilize NetSuite to streamline accounting operations and reporting.

Provide guidance and support to the OpEx team, contributing to operational excellence.

Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within accounting workflows.

Communicate financial insights and updates to stakeholders effectively. Requirements

At least 8 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on corporate accounting functions.

Proficiency in NetSuite is required.

Strong knowledge of expense accruals, month-end close processes, and account reconciliations.

Familiarity with general ledger maintenance and journal entries.

Demonstrated experience with financial statement preparation and audits.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
