Proficiency in performing Modified Barium Swallow studies (MBS)

Experience with adult / geriatric population in acute care

Ability to work independently with limited training capabilities

Description :

Speech Therapy department with a total of 250 beds.

Currently, there are 5 Speech-Language Pathologists.

The patient caseload is approximately 10-12 patients.

Patients will receive swallow evaluations for post-extubation, stroke protocol, pneumonia, failure to thrive, altered mental status, and more.

Speech and language evaluations and treatments are also performed.

Dysphagia treatments are a key focus of the unit.

Candidates must be proficient and experienced in performing MBS.

The department is known for its patient advocacy and clinical strength.

An experienced candidate who holds the same values is desired.

Scrub color is light grey, but any solid color scrubs are currently acceptable.

The department is cohesive and highly engaged.
