• October 29 – November 19, 2025 Day / Time : Wednesdays 4 : 00 – 4 : 30 PM (Pre-K – 2nd Grade) 4 : 30 – 5 : 30 PM (3rd – 5th Grade) Position Overview The Springfield Jewish Community Center is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Cheer & Hip Hop Instructor to lead engaging, age-appropriate classes for children in grades Pre-K through 5th.
• This program combines the energy and teamwork of cheerleading with the rhythm and creativity of hip hop dance to give participants a fun introduction to movement, performance, and self-expression.
• Responsibilities Teach foundational cheerleading moves, chants, and routines in a fun and safe environment.
• Introduce children to modern hip hop dance styles with a focus on rhythm, musicality, and creativity.
• Develop simple choreography tailored to each age group (Pre-K–2nd and 3rd–5th).
• Promote teamwork, confidence, and positive energy in every session.
• Ensure safety and provide modifications for varying skill levels.
• Encourage an inclusive environment where all participants feel successful.
• Prepare activity space before class and ensure a clean, organized area after class.
• Qualifications Experience in cheerleading, dance, or youth performance instruction.
• Previous experience working with children (teaching, coaching, or recreational leadership).
• Ability to create fun, engaging lessons that combine fitness, teamwork, and performance.
• Strong leadership, patience, and communication skills.
• CPR / First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
