Position Summary

The technical process lead will be responsible for running extrusion lines, providing technical support to other operators through troubleshooting, and helping to support training operators on new product lines. The technical process lead will be encouraged to identify areas of the process that could be improved and present those suggestions to the leadership team for long term sustainable growth. The technical process lead will work with the shift supervisors to ensure high levels of productivity, efficiency and conformance to safety and quality standards.

  • Ensuring manufacturing employees are following all company safety and quality requirements.
  • Maintains production efficiency and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Works with production team to proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Supports troubleshooting and processing delays by working with production operators
  • Identify areas of potential risk and opportunity that could impact the production department performance.
  • Supports training of production operators with new product lines
  • Drives production CI projects to streamline manufacturing processes
  • Works with and Supports Production Supervisors to ensure resources are assigned to the appropriate product line
  • Works to decrease downtime during the manufacturing process
  • Works closely with R&D & Engineering on manufacturing projects
  • Ensuring maintenance requests are documented in a timely manner to ensure that machines are operational quickly. (as appropriate)
  • Obey all safety rules, use caution in work activities, and continuously practice safe behaviors.
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions / behaviors and work-related injuries to site supervision.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of PCA quality and safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of D365 production ERP system and PFE usage.
  • Understanding of manufacturing workflow.
  • Organizational and leadership abilities
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  • Problem solving skills
  • High School or equivalent
