The Physical Therapist (PT) is a professional practitioner who develops treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques creating personalized fitness-oriented health care programs for patients. Administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments relieves pain and improves mobility for patients recovering from accidents, trauma and surgical procedures.
JOB DUTIES
- Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition
- Assess and interpret patient evaluations and test results
- Develop treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques as part of personalized fitness-oriented health care programs
- Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility
- Advise patients on exercise techniques and in-home treatment options
- Provide educational information about injury prevention, ergonomics and ways to promote physical health
- Oversee the support staff to ensure quality of care and maximum productivity
- Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
- Document patient care history timely and accurately
- Comply with all rules, regulations and procedures

Master degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational institution, requiredCompletion of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited residency program, preferredPass the National Physical Therapist Examination (NPTE), requiredCurrent Kansas Physical Therapy License, requiredCurrent BLS Certification, required1-2 years’ experience in an acute or clinical setting, preferred
