American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care / Telemetry Float Pool position requiring strong MS / Tele or IMC expertise and Epic charting experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a Progressive Care / Telemetry Float Pool at a Magnet, Level II Trauma CenterFloat to various adult inpatient units including stepdown, IMC, ED, ICU, and may float to the nearby West Valley HospitalPatient ratios are typically 1 : 4-6 on RN assignments12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30Every other weekend requiredUses Epic EMRPatient population includes adult medical-surgical and telemetry casesRoyal blue scrubs requiredResponsible for activating rapid response when necessaryExpected to uphold isolation precautions and PPE protocolsMust complete pre-start modules up to 8 hours and annual specialty modulesStrict RTO policy; any request over 2 weeks requires approval and further changes after submission may result in removal from considerationFree parking on-siteLocal and travel candidates accepted at the same rateTravelers assigned to float first to West Valley Hospital when neededTeam members must be highly flexible and knowledgeable in supporting a wide range of adult inpatient care units\n \n Requirements\n
Active OR RN license required (pending accepted at submission but must be active before start)Minimum 1 year of recent experience in MS / Tele / PCU within the last 3 yearsBLS certification through AHA requiredProficiency with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythmsExperience with management of dysrhythmias, O2 protocol, non-invasive airway management, and peripheral line careExperience with cardiac drips such as nitro, Cardizem, or amiodaroneEpic charting experience requiredCOVID vaccination required, no exemptionsNo first-time travelers acceptedMust not have been employed as a permanent staff member within the last 6 months at any Salem Health facility\n Benefits\n
