Director, R&D DD&T Business Partner - Chemistry

At Takeda, everything we do begins with our commitment to putting patients first. The Director, Technology Business Partner for the Global Chemistry organization holds a leadership role in supporting the R&D digital transformation.

This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic technology solutions for medicinal chemistry, analytical chemistry, and compound management, as well as enhancing data quality and supporting drug development, while maintaining Takeda's core values : Patient, Trust, Reputation, and Business.

This role acts as an advisor to Global Chemistry Leaders, aligning digital tools with business objectives to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency throughout the R&D process.

Accountabilities :

• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies that enhance Global Chemistry business processes, and work with software vendors to understand and influence product roadmaps. Communicate technology updates and recommendations to business partners.
• Manage stakeholder relationships by driving cross-functional collaboration and communication to ensure successful project and product delivery that aligns with stakeholder expectations.
• Build a dynamic 3-5 year technology roadmap supporting Global Chemistry, which is continually reviewed and refined.
• Provide executive-level governance and oversight for digital initiatives, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and deliver measurable business value.
• Promote a culture of transparency, integrity, and continuous improvement in all technology engagements.
• Represent Global Chemistry in strategic planning, investment prioritization, and global technology governance forums.
• Oversee project budgets, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure all projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Manage the chemistry technology budget for Research Data, Digital & Technology (RDD&T), including budget planning and tracking.
• Act as the single point of contact for all Global Chemistry technology needs, including services and support.
• Serve as an active member of the Research Data, Digital & Technology Leadership Team.
