Overview

We are seeking driven and enthusiastic team players looking to gain hands-on experience in the denim world as Showroom Sales Intern.

Our Internship Experience provides insightful and educational training to build upon the skills needed for a successful career in wholesale. You will gain hands-on experience in showroom maintenance, sample closets, inventory of samples, collaboration with the sales team, customer service and administrative support skills. The ideal intern will be an organized, supportive, and eager to learn about our world!

Availability 5 days a week from 9am to 5 : 30pm in our NYC Office located in Soho. Must be a current college-level student and / or graduate.

DL1961 offers a paid internship experience at $16.50 an hour.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Support the functions of the sales team.
• Maintain showroom and sample closet appearance (neat, clean, and organized).
• Maintain front desk, pantry, and storage room appearance (neat, clean, and organized).
• Monitor phone system; greet guests appropriately.
• Independently complete regular inventory of samples.
• Track all inventory from showroom as it is utilized cross-departmentally.
• Ship and order samples as needed.
• Coordinate with sales team to prioritize showroom, market, specialty and major sample needs.
• Help pack and unpack for road appointments, trade shows and market.
• Assist with sample sales and any company-wide events.
• Assist teams with appointments and logistics.
• Create shipping labels and assist teams with administrative tasks.
• Sort mail and distribute packages to appropriate team members.
• Process RA’s, exercising discretion and best judgement.
• Monitor office supplies inventory.
• Corporate Office administrative maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.
