- Salary : $143,079 – $198,476 Annually + $10,000 bonus (distributed every 3 months over 1st year period)
- Clinic Locations Available : Skid Row – 6th and San Pedro
- Hourly schedule : Primarily 8AM – 5PM
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Under the supervision of the Psychiatric Medical Director and Consultant Psychiatrist and in accordance with JWCH’s defined procedures and practice protocols, the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will examine patients, take medical history, record results and make a preliminary diagnosis or decision on follow-up procedures.Administer or order diagnostic tests when necessary and interpret test results.Exercise professional judgment regarding consultation with the medical director concerning appropriate treatment.Develop and implement patient care plans, instruct and counsel patients, and record progress.Prescribe medications to the extent allowable by state guidelines and clinic regulations.Provide in-house psychiatric specialty consultations and services for patients.Follow-up patients as needed to ensure compliance with protocol / treatment guidelines.Prescreen cases requiring review by the Psychiatric Medical Director.At all times maintain the strict confidentiality of patient records.Participate in meetings as needed.Conduct psychiatric assessments of patients according to department and contract guidelines.Maintain all required documentation for the performance of treatment services.Accept responsibility for his / her own professional development and engage in continuing education to maintain and enhance medical skills, knowledge, and procedures.QUALIFICATIONS :
CA RN licensed MSN with current CA Furnishing Number.Training as Psychiatric NPPreferably 2 years’ experience post licensure.ANCC / California Nurse Practitioner Certification and DEA registration preferred.Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Card.INMED
