Fleet Manager
This position is responsible for managing maintenance schedules, overseeing service provider teams, handling vehicle acquisition and registration, maintaining records, monitoring fleet operational budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role requires strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills to optimize fleet performance and resolve operational issues. Ensure all equipment and coaches are functioning properly to perform safe patient care.
Flexible schedule to cover all shifts and weekends, as the cath lab needs demand.
Education : High school diploma, preferred completion of commercial driver driving course for drivers with less than five (5) years' experience.
Licensure / Certification : Current Commercial Driver's license preferred in compliance with all requirements / qualifications imposed by the DOT.
Essential Technical / Motor Skills : Ability to manipulate various types of electronic and clinical equipment, adjust and troubleshoot monitoring, and computer equipment. Ability to operate specialty equipment related to area of expertise and to perform computer tasks at a user's level. Demonstrate sound judgment in transporting, set-up operation and breakdown of the mobile cath lab in extreme summer temperatures and / or weather conditions.
Interpersonal Skills : Must have strong communication skills in English both oral and written, with all levels of staff, physicians, patients and families; excellent listening skills; sensitive to cultural and bilingual issues; self-motivated and ability to work effectively with physicians; ability to work under pressure with excellent follow-through skills; demonstrates respect for others and the equipment they are responsible for. Consistently demonstrates commitment and loyalty to the company, and the equipment / mobile unit they are responsible for.
Essential Mental Abilities : Ability to work well under stress. An ability to express thoughts clearly and concisely extended period of interaction with the monitoring equipment may be required.
Essential Physical Requirements : Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires repetitive bending pulling, twisting and lift 75 pounds to shoulder height in the mobile cath lab setup and breakdown. Able to sit / drive for up to 10 hours per day.
Essential Cognitive Abilities : Must possess the ability to comprehend and interpret complex clinical subject matter related to specialty. Ability to document clinical information. Ability to interpret rules / regulations / accrediting and licensing standards. Must be proficient in speaking, reading and writing English.
Essential Sensory Requirements : Ability to respond to patient / family needs by interpreting verbal and non-verbal expressions. Ability to collect sensory data, analyze political dynamics and intervene appropriately. Ability to work in dimly lit space.
Exposure to Hazards : Requires exposure to communicable diseases and blood and potentially contaminated body fluids, Biohazardous materials and ionizing radiation. OSHA risk factor : Category 1. Potential risk of physical injury due to moving machinery and supplies.
Age-Specific Criteria : None.
Travel : Occasionally required to address interim lab needs and meets with service providers.
