Project Manager II

As a Project Manager II, you are responsible for managing a project of moderate visibility and complexity. This role can be leveraged in a Control Account Manager capacity on a larger program with many deliverables or be inward facing or assigned to a more complex internal program. Under the general supervision of either a portfolio manager or a program manager, this position oversees multiple projects or one larger project. In addition to the duties of a project manager I, the project manager II is responsible for assembling the project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing the schedule to ensure timely completion of the project. The position may communicate with a senior project manager, functional area manager, or program manager regarding the status of specific projects. You will develop, define, and execute project plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables; identify needed resources for projects; and interface with internal and external customers or field-based employees on technical matters as needed. You will be responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle : proposal development, planning, scope, definition, design, execution, delivery, and project closeout. You will track progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators, and prepare reports to stakeholders. The Project Manager will need to be agile and flexible, as changes will be certain and frequent.

This position requires current / active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
