We are a vibrant, busy, and growing full-service law firm looking to add an Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to assist and support our Transportation Department. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience within Insurance Defense.

Successful Candidate

A self-starter with a strong work ethic and organizational skills is essential for this position. Must have good oral communication skills and ability to communicate and be personable with clients, court staff, adversaries, and witnesses; must be a true team player genuinely interested in working in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Candidate should have experience in all phases of litigation including but not limited to drafting litigation documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery demands, taking depositions, conducting research, and appearing in Court. In addition, a candidate with an insurance defense background and / or knowledge of New York State No-Fault law is strongly encouraged.

Responsibilities :

• Proficiency in handling cases from inception to trial and appeal.
• Appear regularly in Court to participate in conferences and oral arguments.
• Depositions and motion practice.
