Certifications and Licenses :

Current valid license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice is required.

What You Bring :

Educational Background : A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A Bachelors or Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy, Respiratory Care, or a related field is preferred.

Professional Experience : Prior experience working in a hospital or clinical environment providing respiratory care is highly advantageous. Experience with advanced respiratory procedures and equipment is a plus.

Technical Skills : Proficiency in performing a wide range of cardiopulmonary procedures, including mechanical ventilation, airway management, and oxygen therapy. Strong understanding of medical terminology and patient care protocols.

Communication Skills : Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with medical staff and educate patients on their respiratory therapies.

Regulatory Compliance : Knowledge of and adherence to hospital policies, department procedures, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide comprehensive respiratory care services in accordance with physician orders and department policies.

Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as arterial blood gases, ventilator management, and airway clearance.

Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and therapy routines.

Document all procedures accurately and maintain detailed patient records.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.

Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and sanitized following regulatory standards.
