Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of cardiac cath lab experience and current ARRT and BLS certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in an acute care cardiac cath lab with 2 cath lab suites
  • Patient population includes STEMI, structural heart procedures (Mitraclip, TAVR, Watchman), PFO, ASD, PCI, IABP insertion, and Impella-assisted PCI
  • Average 8-10 cases per day
  • Required to scrub and monitor cases, including structural heart procedures
  • Uses MacLab and Cerner for charting
  • 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with required call—shifts typically 6 : 30 AM-5 : 00 PM or 7 : 00 AM-5 : 30 PM
  • Approximately one weeknight call per week (end of day to 7 : 00 AM) and 1-2 weekend calls per month (Friday evening to Monday morning)
  • Call response time is 30 minutes
  • No floating outside the cath lab unless otherwise arranged based on experience
  • Scrubs are provided daily upon arrival
  • Duties include scrubbing and monitoring a variety of complex cardiac cases
  • One-week orientation includes general hospital orientation, three days on-unit, and weekend buddy call
  • Travel experience highly preferred but not required
  • Manager and daily point RN or tech (Charge) provide unit support
  • Staff are assigned to holiday call as needed
  • Employees must pay for parking on day shifts—reimbursement not offered
  • Returning candidates may not have been employed by the affiliated health system within the past year

    • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Minimum of 1 year recent cath lab experience including both scrub and monitor roles
  • Valid WA license required at time of consideration; license required if applicable
  • Current ARRT and BLS certifications required, ACLS preferred
  • Experience with structural heart cases preferred
  • Must provide personal radiation badge
  • Ability to work flexible shifts Monday through Friday and fulfill call requirements
  • Must submit a copy of driver’s license for consideration
  • Two professional references required : one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years including employment dates and rehire eligibility
