Pharmacy Clerk – Part-Time (Temp to Hire) Location : Cheektowaga, NY 14227 Pay Rate : $17.50 / hour Schedule : Part-time, 24–32 hours / week Mandatory Days : Friday & Sunday Typical Schedule : Sunday : 9 : 00 AM – 5 : 30 PM Monday : 9 : 00 AM – 2 : 00 PM Tuesday : 9 : 00 AM – 2 : 00 PM Wednesday : 9 : 00 AM – 2 : 00 PM Friday : 9 : 00 AM – 5 : 30 PM About the Role We’re seeking a Pharmacy Clerk to join our team in a fast-paced, automated refill pharmacy environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of maintaining accuracy and efficiency while working independently or as part of a team. This temp-to-hire opportunity offers the potential for long-term employment with growth opportunities. Key Responsibilities Accurately fill prescription vials with prescribed tablets and capsules. Retrieve, process, and verify medication orders using computer systems. Replenish medication in automated dispensing cells and manage inventory. Perform counting, labeling, and packaging with precision and accuracy. Operate handheld scanners and follow standard operating procedures. Prepare prescriptions for shipping, including labeling and packing. Maintain cleanliness and organization on the pharmacy floor. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies. Demonstrate problem-solving skills and escalate issues when necessary. Perform additional housekeeping or other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or GED (required). Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand / walk for 8+ hours per shift. Basic math, reading, and computer skills required. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Previous pharmacy, warehouse, or production experience is a plus. Pharmacy Technician degree or certification preferred (not required in NYS). Work Environment & Perks Onsite position in a climate-controlled facility.
