Role Impact As Process Controls Technician, you'll be the backbone of plant reliability, directly supporting production optimization through advanced PLC and SCADA systems. Your expertise will drive measurable improvements in system uptime, reduce troubleshooting time by 30-40%, and support engineering projects that enhance overall facility performance. You'll work with cutting-edge Rockwell Studio 5000, AVEVA System Platform, and AutoCAD Electrical technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Troubleshoot and optimize industrial control systems including PLC hardware / software, SCADA updates, and VFD programming to maintain 95%+ system reliability
  • Monitor control system KPIs including PID loop performance and alarm frequency, executing corrective actions to keep systems within optimal ranges
  • Lead small automation projects from design through commissioning, managing scope, schedule, and budget while generating technical drawings and specifications
  • Support engineering initiatives through field data collection, documentation updates, and instrument installation oversight
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including process engineering, production, and maintenance to implement continuous improvement projects
  • Conduct electrical room safety audits and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Provide commissioning and startup support for new control system implementations
  • Troubleshoot motor controls and instruments alongside electrical maintenance team

Required Qualifications :

  • Certificate in Electrical Automation Technology from accredited technical / community college
  • 3+ years industrial electrical maintenance or process controls experience
  • Proficiency in Rockwell Studio 5000, AVEVA System Platform, and AutoCAD Electrical
  • Strong blueprint and schematic interpretation abilities
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills for rapid issue diagnosis
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Associate's degree in Electrical Automation, Controls, or related field
  • Experience with Thin Manager systems
  • Background in lime, cement, or heavy industrial manufacturing
  • Project management experience with small capital projects
