Watch Our Story :

As a Transmission Line Engineering Manager in a well-established Power Delivery practice, youll draw upon your broad technical knowledge and experience in design and construction of high voltage Transmission Line projects to lead, guide, and advise clients, projects, and teams. You will develop a partnership with the Project Manager (PM); while the PM is responsible for scope, schedule, budget, and client management, you will be responsible for technical execution of the project.

You should be prepared to take on greater challenges and responsibilities, building on your experience as a leading technical contributor on increasingly complex transmission line projects.

Responsibilities

• Leverage technical experience and collaborate with the PM to manage and execute the engineering and design components of transmission projects.
• Develop and implement a project execution plan for the technical aspect of transmission projects.
• Independently perform or direct, mentor, train, and supervise Project Engineers, EITs, Designers, CADD technicians, and administrative staff as needed.
• Support the technical aspects of scope, schedule, and budget, including proposal development, WBS development and implementation, progress assessment, risk assessment / mitigation, change management, and schedule management.
• Coordinate and / or lead the QA / QC process per HDRs Quality Management Systems requirements with a commitment to delivering world-class quality.
• Perform quality checks and reviews of projects from other teams as needed.
• Participate in project reviews as needed.
• Occasionally lead multiple projects concurrently, utilizing teams in different locations.
• Work with senior engineers and technical leaders to identify and develop specific technical expertise; attend training and seminars to advance understanding of complex transmission concepts.
• Assist with the development of technical papers and / or presentations for industry conferences or events when applicable.
• Other duties as required.
