About The Position

Job Title : Pediatric OR Tech Surgical Tech

Profession : Surgical Services

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 8 hours

Experience : Minimum two years of pediatric scrub experience or equivalent relevant experience required.

License : Must have active licensure in the designated field.

Certifications : BLS must be certified through an accredited organization.

Must-Have : Strong skills in Eyes, Urology, Neuro, and Ortho.

Description :

Day / Evening shifts, Monday to Friday, with primary hours between 0700-2300.

Weeknight, weekend, and holiday on-call responsibilities are required.

The Surgical Technologist prepares the Operating Room prior to surgery.

They promote patient safety during surgery.

They provide assistance to the surgeon during surgery.

They care for the patient during the procedure.

They manage instruments and supplies used in surgery.

The Surgical Technologist ensures the safety of patients as a member of the surgical team.

They possess knowledge and skills required to assist effectively in caring for patients of all age groups.

This includes neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Travelers are expected to float to other units based on current staffing needs.

High acuity cases, including general surgery, neurosurgery, ortho, ENT, and GI procedures, may require on-call availability.

A strong background in pediatric and neonatal experience is mandatory.

All requirements are mandatory with no exceptions allowed.
