Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist with home health experience for adult patient care in Sarasota and Charlotte County.
Responsibilities
Provide skilled home health OT services to adult patients in home settingsServe a diverse caseload including med / surg, cardiac, ortho, post-surgical, neuro, respiratory, and trauma patientsHome health visits with a minimum of 6 points per day, potentially increasing at manager's discretionDay shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PMSelf-scheduled visits and hours based on office needsUse electronic documentation including BayCare Forms, Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet systemsWork with provided laptop, MiFi for internet, and portable printersPerform evaluations, treatment, and documentation for adults with a variety of diagnoses including orthopedic, cardiac, neuro, respiratory, and post-surgical conditionsUtilize a range of OT skills such as ADL training, cardiac rehab, edema massage, feeding techniques, splinting, TENS, ultrasound, prosthetics, standard assessments, and home exercise program instructionResponsible for patient and family education, safety and injury prevention, and coordination with interdisciplinary teamExpected to be familiar with OASIS and Medicare documentation; OASIS training preferredSolid color scrubs requiredMandatory mask use for those with declination of flu vaccinationRequirements
Active OT state license required if applicableMinimum 1 year of home health experience required; 2 years preferredCurrent BLS certification requiredMust be an independent practitionerValid driver's license and reliable car required for home visitsMust be COVID vaccinated or provide exemption documentationMust have flu shot or submit declination and adhere to mandatory mask policyBenefits
