Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a BSN and active IL RN license for a night shift assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting
  • Night shifts, 3x12 hours per week from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30
  • Adult critical care patient population
  • Rare floating between units or facilities within the health system may be required
  • Orientation includes required modules, with the first 8 hours non-billable and completed during scheduled shifts
  • All requested time off must be declared in advance
  • Candidates within a 75-mile radius are eligible at the local rate
  • Will be expected to float if requested by unit manager
  • Vaccination accommodations will be reviewed case by case with necessary documentation

    • Requirements

  • Active Illinois RN license in hand; no emergency or pending licenses accepted
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of direct ICU experience required
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical skills
