Salary : $21 / Hour

JOB SUMMARY : The Architectural Intern will assist our Architecture efforts, and includes the following duties and responsibilities.

JOB DUTIES :

  • Prepares and modifies architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc. as directed by others utilizing Revit / BIM.
  • Develops solutions to technical and design problems following established standards.
  • Incorporates Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
  • Engage with other interns across the enterprise as part of the overall Summer Internship Program.
  • Comply with Companys Quality Control and Project Management procedures.
  • Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organizations goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

Work is performed in a Vestal Corporation office.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and able to operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Must be able to move about the office to access office equipment and other office buildings within the Vestal office complex.
  • This position frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate information.

    • KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :

  • Pursuing Bachelors degree in Architecture or similar is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience or willingness to learn AutoCAD and Revit is preferred.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities.
  • Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.
  • Must comply with Vestal Corporations core values for the safe and efficient operation of the business and maintain sound relationships among and with employees.

    • You are expected to also invest some of your own time immersing yourself into the Architectural field of the AEC industry familiarizing yourself with key reference materials :
