Responsibilities
Lead the retail sales team for all sales activities with a focus on product lines to include Agronomy, Energy, and GrainLead and support all hiring, onboarding, professional development, coaching and mentoring, training, and performance management for immediate sales team membersEstablish and manage sales goals set in alignment with overall business strategy and focused on achieving target performance within each product lineIdentify and monitor all KPIs to ensure a focus on growth, margin management and people performance indicatorsMaintain competence of market competition, trends, and activities while communicating relevant information across stakeholder teamsEstablish, build, and maintain relationships with key industry and strategic community partnersEnsure sales team is utilizing aligned sales processes and service delivery to offer the best returns for both the patron and local business unitsUnderstand what margins are needed to achieve budget goals and take corrective action when needed to ensure marketing objectives support the achievement of designated budgetsMatch capacity and capabilities with sales forecast needs to ensure an efficient and cost-effective supply chainGenerate and ensure follow through on sales leads to achieve improved market share within designed geography and territoriesLeverage technology, data, and relationships to identify cross-selling opportunities and market share growth across product linesCollaborate and work closely with key internal stakeholders to ensure continuity between business strategy, goals, and critical deliverablesMaintain a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, service delivery, and eventsFocus on consistent profitability improvements and champion strategic go-to-market objectives while understanding the holistic business impact and contributionHighly effective at identifying skills and talents of others and supporting development plans for individual and team successMinimum Qualifications (required)
High School diploma or GED2+ years of experience in Agronomy, Grain, Animal Nutrition, or Energy SalesOr previous experience in a sales role demonstrating and delivering strong sales performance and / or previous experience leading sales teamsPrior leadership experience with progressively advancing level of leadership responsibilitiesAdditional Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business and / or agriculture related programPrevious experience leading a sales teamExcellent communication and leadership skillsCHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage / salary requirements under local law.
