Principal Duties The Journey Maintenance / Construction Specialist performs a wide variety of skilled maintenance duties requiring independent ability to organize and complete maintenance projects. These projects are located within our JJYS facilities and include :

• Troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing problems in the areas of : Alarm systems, HVAC, Appliances, Roofing, Grounds work, Glazing, Painting, Plumbing, Welding, Snow removal, Locks
• Providing technical consultation to originators of project job orders, including development of project plans and related estimates
• Builds, fabricates, or repairs structures, equipment, and / or miscellaneous articles from verbal instructions, blueprints and / or working drawings
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools, electrical, mechanical, and automotive equipment
• Performing emergency preparedness planning and train staff
• Reading and interpreting maps, plats, charts, plans, blueprints and / or electrical schematics

Preference may be given to the Ideal candidate who : is computer literate, knows how to create reports, is organized, and able to keep accurate records.

Is 19 years of age or older

Has a high school diploma or GED

Has multiple years of experience in this area of expertise.
