Patient Care Assistant
Performs a variety of direct patient care procedures to assist the unit manager, professional staff and physicians in providing patient care focused on the needs of the patient. General patient care, technical care, equipment, transport, communication, and quality improvement are all part of the role. Maintains strict confidentiality of patient, employee, and department information to ensure patient rights.
Position requirements include a minimum education of a high school diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education. Less than one year of previous job-related experience is required, with 1-2 years of previous job-related experience preferred. Required licensure / certifications include Certified Nurse Assistant and BLS (Basic Life Support) through AHA. Completion of a Nursing Assistant Program with placement on the Illinois Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry or verification of an equal or higher educational level in a clinically focused program is also required.

Salary range : $16.70 - $25.53 per hour. Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
