This is a full-time, on-site, salaried Video Player / AS3 Developer position located in New York City, paying a salary of $70,000 to $100,000 depending on experience + benefits. No telecommuting allowed. US Citizens or Green Card holders only please. Local candidates only.

Our New York City start-up client is the first global movie theater. Currently in beta, they show feature-length films for live social audiences online. With deep relationships in Hollywood and access to top content including both independent and studio films, they are well-positioned to become a disruptive force in the media distribution and exhibition businesses and are already generating significant revenues pre-launch. Seed funding is in place.

They are looking for a Video Player / AS3 Developer who is highly skilled and hardworking. New hires will be members of a small, intensely focused team iterating quickly on a complex product. Candidates should have expertise across the following areas :

• Working with the Akamai CDN and the Akamai video player plugins
• OSMF
• HTML5
• Flash Media Server
• RTMP and HTTP streaming protocols
• Experience building video players for a variety of implementations and devices
