Construction Estimator

Company Description

Doll Construction is looking to grow our Project Estimating Team by adding an Estimator / Preconstruction Member. We are looking for an individual that is able to also assist with the coordination of field operations to ensure proper transfer of information from Office to Field.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

• Assist with Estimate Take-offs and Bid Tabulations
• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and contracts to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Review and Maintain Submittal Documents
• Maintain Safety Guidelines and Documentation
• Assist with Project Scheduling and Resource Allocation
• Develop a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all contract documents
• Prior to work beginning, ensure proper transfer of all information between Estimator, Project Manager, Superintendent, and Foreman
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for estimates.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data that may impact project costs.
• Manage project close-out, including warranties and acceptance of work
• Monitor ongoing projects for cost control, ensuring adherence to budget constraints throughout the construction process.
• Utilize Bluebeam / Insite / CAD software for takeoffs and document management during the estimating process.

Qualifications :

Ideal candidate will have or be working to complete degree in Construction Management, Technology, or Engineering (Preferred but not Required)

Knowledge of Construction Cost

Knowledge of CAD Software

Knowledge of Construction Estimating

Knowledge of Construction Scheduling

Strong Computer Skills

Knowledge of Project Specifications and Drawings

Ability to Work in Team Environment
