We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in East Aurora, New York. This role is integral to maintaining the accuracy and compliance of our financial reporting processes and ensuring the organization meets accounting standards. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial analysis, revenue recognition, and internal controls, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive informed business decisions.

Responsibilities :

• Manage the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee the financial reporting process, guaranteeing timely and precise reporting in alignment with corporate policies.
• Analyze customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition methods and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and internal controls to support regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining financial processes and enhancing system workflows.
• Provide technical accounting expertise and draft detailed position memos on complex accounting matters.
• Support forecasting, financial analysis, and planning to aid leadership in strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate a seamless audit process.
• Partner with various departments to translate financial data into actionable insights for non-financial leaders.
• Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.
• Experience with account and bank reconciliations.
• Expertise in revenue recognition and contract analysis.
• Solid understanding of accounting policies, compliance standards, and internal controls.
• Ability to provide technical accounting guidance and draft precise and thorough documentation.
• Demonstrated capability in financial forecasting and strategic analysis.
• Effective communication skills for partnering with auditors and cross-functional teams.
