Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Peoria, Illinois 61637 Healthcare Setting : Medical Acute Care Unit Contract Type : Travel Nursing Assignment Start Date : December 8, 2025 End Date : March 9, 2026 Assignment Duration : 13 weeks Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00pm – 7 : 00am), 3 shifts / week Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours / week Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Holiday Requirement : 3 out of 6 holidays / year Charting System : EPIC EMR Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,990 - $2,130 per week Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license or proof of application BLS certification (AHA required) Minimum 1 year recent Med / Surg or general medical nursing experience Strong clinical, teamwork, and communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced acute care environment Must pass comprehensive drug screening (OSF is a Drug-Free Campus) Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality patient care in a 20-bed general medical unit Manage nurse-to-patient ratios of 1 : 5 / 6 during night shifts Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and patient care technicians Monitor and assess patients, including those on telemetry (no ventilator management required) Document patient care and progress using EPIC EMR Float to other hospital units as needed based on staffing requirements Participate in weekend and holiday rotations Attend unit-specific orientation and comply with hospital policies Apply now to join our healthcare team in Peoria, Illinois, and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
