Lube / Fuel Technician Mechanic Apprentice (SLD Landfill)

Waste Connections, Inc. has immediate openings for a high energy Lube / Fuel Technician / Mechanic Apprentice to join the team at our Hauling location in Punta Gorda SLD Landfill, FL . Previous waste experience would be a huge plus !

This will be a Monday - Friday position working 6 : 00 AM - 6 : 00 PM and Possible Saturdays. .

Pay rate $22.00 to $25.00 an hour DOE

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Performs maintenance related work as required.
• Performs inspections, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks.
